What are illustrations of concrete language and abstract language?

Concrete language uses words that refer to specific things and actions and the senses. Abstract refers more to general ideas.

Concrete language: One worker was pouring concrete, while another was cracking bricks with a chisel and hammer. John held out a red rose to Jenny, then kissed her. Abstract language: The labourers were preparing the foundation and readying themselves to raise the wall. The young man showed the woman a sign of affection.
